日本語

I'm listening to an audio CD set to help me with my Japanese, though I haven't gotten very far.
I'm just going to practice in hiragana/katakana. I don't know all the kanji yet.
This is a mix of what I've learned from the CD and what I learned from the class I took last year.
I apologize if I make any mistakes. Corrections are appreciated.

こんにちは。
わたしはアメリカじんです。
にほんごがすこしわかります。でもまだじょうずじゃありません。よくわかりません。
きょうはいいおてんきです。
きのうはJapanese Tea Gardenにいきました。

That's the most relevant statements that I can do right now. It's not much.

I've covered some greetings, and of course things that seem a little silly to say like 「わたしはにほんじんじゃありません。」.
I have trouble saying 「じゃありません」 out loud sometimes;;

The CD has lots of little dialogues like this:
1.すみません。うえのえきはどこですか。
2.ここです。
1.うえのこうえんは。
2.ここじゃありません。うえのこうえんはあそこです。
1.どうもありがとうございます。

I don't know much, but I like learning.

Here are some photos from the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio.

Hello Jam,
What beautiful, peaceful pictures! Especially I like flowers' one. :D

Let me give you a little help with Japanese in here:
Although those are really small mistakes, こんいちは should be こんちは.

Japanese say ども, shortening どうも but it's informal to say.
Because ありがとうございます is formal to say, it's more appropriate to say どうもありがとうございます。 in the case. :)

I hope this helps. :)

Oh! How did I miss the に in こんにちは? I wasn't reading what I wrote carefully enough. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

So it should be どうも formally. I will remember that.
Thanks for the help! Or どうもありがとうございます!

Today I was learning the verb たべます, which is something I wanted to learn.
Someone I work with knows Japanese, but I'm still too scared to speak any around him.

The only thing I understood in Japanese was 'Good afternoon.' xD
Also, nice photos ^^.

@Lucy: Considering I wrote "konnichi wa" in hiragana, that's pretty good.

And thank you! Photography isn't quite my thing, but it's hard to pass up some photo opportunities. Now I just need to use them for references!
